Tehran to host intl. handicrafts exhibition

TEHRAN -- Tehran International Fair Ground will host a weeklong international handicrafts exhibition from June 10.
However, the exhibit may be extended to ten days, the deputy for handicrafts at Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Organization Ahmad Balan told the Persian service of IRNA.
He said they are publishing an announcement for other countries to take part at the event.
All the state and private organizations that are active in the arts of handicrafts are collaborating in holding the exhibit, he added.
Balan stressed that the national media and press will announce the details about the fair to inform people on visiting the exhibit.
Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Mosalla hosted the previous edition of the exhibition in June 2011 which displayed artworks from Armenia, Turkey, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Thailand and Albania and several other places.
